In 1946 our artisan activity was born in a small workshop in Buttigliera d'Asti. My grandfather Mario begins with general carpentry (barrels, etc.) and with the window frames.
The competition in those years was ruthless, despite his great quality work.
Then, around 1948 he decided to transform the cars of the '30s and '40s (Fiat Balilla, Fiat 1100, etc.) into pickup trucks, cutting bodywork parts and building a wooden box.
The business takes hold and is successful, the customers come from everywhere.
From the '50s, however, the models of the cars began to change because they come out of the factory already with the built-in set-up.
In 1962 Manello moved to a new wider location situated in Via Moriondo and specialized in preparation of the first vans for street vendors (shoes, cloth, etc.) and the first cattle wagons.
Until the mid-70s Mario and his two sons Efisio and Renzo continued the car and truck bodywork activity but at the end of the 70s, with the arrival of the third son Rodolfo in the company, they decided to focus exclusively on industrial vehicles, widely requested, leaving the cars aside.
The company grew, strengthened its business and built other premises in 1979.
In the early 2000s, the Manello bodywork decided to invest again, building the current warehouse for the various work phases, with the new sandblasting and painting rooms.
The restoration of heavy vehicles is also affirmed. The company is able to bring back to splendor the old trucks of the years 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s.
Even today, over 80 years after the beginning of the story, the journey continues, some people are no longer there, others have arrived and continue the activity. Always with dedication and passion for the job, we accept the everyday challenges. With seriousness, professionalism and honesty we meet the needs of customers.
